The ultimate driver! 1967 Mustang fastback with all correct Shelby GT500 body equipment. Equipped with Ford’s brutal and very expensive 427 Side-Oiler engine producing approximately 500 HP, a modern 5-speed Tremec manual transmission and a 3.70 axle.
Handling on the road is excellent thanks to Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, a fully upgraded Total Control front suspension with rack and pinion power steering, modern, performance wheels and tires, frame stiffeners and Koni shocks all around. For comfort, convenience and safety, there’s Autometer Phantom gauges, a tilt steering column with wood and polished stainless Shelby style steering wheel, upgraded seats with racing style belts, a stainless steel roll bar, and a Pioneer stereo with four speakers.
Other touches that set this Resto Mod apart from others is the hidden wiper motor, battery displaced to the trunk, high capacity aluminum radiator with twin electric fans and computer control, remote interior trunk release and relocated “racing style” gas filler cap.
This car is all business, but can hold it’s own at any show-car gathering. It has graced the cover of “Mustang Milestones” magazine and recently won “Best of Class” at the NMCA/Edelbrock Muscle Car show at Lowes Motor Speedway.
